Families Like Ours of Jersey City (FLOJC) is a social network of Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transgender and Queer parents and parents-to-be in Jersey City, NJ. Our aim is to build community on and offline: sharing parenting information, resources and providing opportunities for our children and ourselves to meet other LGBTQ families in our area.

The Hudson County Families of Color Meetup Group was started to bring moms, dads, and children of color together to socialize with one another throughout Hudson County, New Jersey. Hudson County can be a very transient place and this meetup group seeks to serve as a social connection for families of color, whether they plan to settle here permanently or are calling Hudson County home only temporarily.

This is a social club for school-age girls (ages 6 - 14) who want to make friends & their parents who want to avoid exclusionary 'cliques'. This is a socialization group for families of all types with highly gifted tweens 11 and up  and their siblings.  We plan fun, inspiring, intriguing and relaxed activities including get togethers, meals, hikes, day trips and adventures to allow our kids and us to socialize and meet like minded families.

This group is NOT exclusively for Irish people but some of our get togethers will involve an Irish celebration or the culture.  You don't have to be Irish to appreciate the Irish culture and history... or any Irish celebration! My vision is play-dates for children, parent nights out together, and the occasional St. Patricks Day  Parade and Irish festival!
